  • The only one I recall (because I'm not a huge horse race fan) was Secretariat...back in the 70s, I believe.
  • Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Affirmed, all in the 70's. I was at a race track in Cincinnati when Affirmed won the final race back in 1978 and viewed it from the grandstand via simulcast.
  • Seeing as I am from the U.K, (and we founded the thoroughbred racing empire) my answer will be a little different. Our last three Triple Crown winners were Gainsborough in 1918, Bahram in 1935 and Nijinsky in 1970. I have never seen any of them race other than old videos of Nijinsky and he was a true great, one of the best. Regards
