  • Depending on what part of each state you are leaving from and arriving to, it would be between 35 and 45 hours. That is actual DRIVE time, not accounting for stopping for fuel, food, bathroom breaks, traffic or road constructions slow downs. If you are seriously considering this trip, I recommend joing AAA and having them map a "TripTic" for you. It is a free service (with membership) where they plan your route, give you all the maps and make sure you know what you are getting in to. Cross country trips can be wonderful. If you need to map your route for speed, stick with major interstate freeways. But if you have the time to wander and play, there are some great things to see along the way.
