ok i know it sound harsh but is thier diest good? do they loaf rounf in front of the TV all time? limit their tv and feed them healthily and thier attitude will change greatly. get them to ply with eac other in games like baord games and tennis in the yard. theyre attitude will change and it will be easier to ask them to do something, yes they still might not do chores but whe they do do it they will except it more, also if they dont stop ther pocket money ( alowence) or start giving examples of them for exaple, if u want them to strip all the bedding in the house and put their quitl covers on take the covers offyour self and leave their bed with no quilt at all so they do it themselves. worked with me. i 15.

Thanx for that, They are very energetic kids and are constantly out playing or have their friends round. my eldest daughter is diabetic and as a result I do tend to mother her more, she agreed the other day that I'd pay her 50p per day to do the tea time dishes on the condition that she did them for a full week and then the money was hers, she did them once? and then 'forgot' my little one agreed to 30p per day to pick all the shoes up in the house and put them away. she did them once and then 'forgot' I reminded them but they still didnt do it. needless to say they didn'g get paid and we're back to square one. HELP!

My kids are 7 and 10 also. I have also tried many times to get them to do chores consistently and failed. As much as I hate to admit it the problem is really me. I start them out with 2 or 3 responsibilities and it works for a day or two then I let them slack. I know that this is not good for them or me. When I was a child I had to start working at age 9 and I guess I am going to the extreme opposite with my own children.
