Does anyone else wish that Amy Winehouse would leave the planet? What possible redeeming quality does she have to keep the world's media attention so rapt?

I've only recently heard of Amy Winehouse. I think she's a bit sad, and I think the redeeming quality she gives the world is to be a shining example of what not to be. I don't wish she would "leave the planet" because I think we need people like her to show us ridiculous we can be too if we don't make an effort not to be. And, face it, she gave you something to talk about. :)

I think it is generational..I asked something along those lines to Booze Hound (now named artist) and he said she is very talented and what the media writes about her personal life is separate from her talent as an artist. I've never heard her but I think she is following a path of destruction that other artists have followed and maybe it's because none of them think they deserve the success..I don't know! :)

I like her. She's talented. And, she's unpredictable. I like her the same reason why I liked Gun N Roses. You never really knew what would happen.

She has her issues but she dosn't bother me as much as some of these others who are famous for being famous of being born into money ie paris hilton, nicole ritchie, ki kardashian, "the real house wifes of new york" ect. At least Amy is doing something between drugs to support her habits.

She's pretty...so I guess she's in.

as crazy and tweaked out as she is...there arent many singers who can hold a candle to her. She's jazzy, old school, ska, soul all rolled into one and she looks rockabilly. She's the shit. She writes her own tunes.
