ME. A ton of them actually. I was thinking it has something to do with the internet - possibly some bug or something. But it sounds like others are having similar problems with Vista. My dad has Vista and is considering switching back to the old. I don't know what to do about this. I have to click the power button off, then completely restart and i don't have time for that!!

YES! Sometimes I log in, the cursor works, I'm able to type in my password, but I cannot use the keybord after that. I wonder what kinda glitch it is or maybe if we all have a virus! :-O

Hey Bud! I have vista , on a brand new computer. I have had similar problems. I have just switched from IE7 to Firefox, and I seem to be running much better.... I dont know if this helps, but thats my two cents, (*sound of coins tossing*)

This is why if you get Vista build your own computer... When you buy it, it doesn't mean it will work... I rebuilt mine got some decent parts from best buy and presto it runs better than new. Describe your computer to me

It's a given when dealing with Vista. Haven't you seen the Apple commercials? They are true. I have a dell laptop that used to freeze every 30secs until a registry hack I found online fixed the problem, after HOURS spent on the phone with dell got a response of a) run diagnostics - again or b) reformat. A 15 second procedure to modify the registry permanently fixed the problem when the dell support I paid for couldn't even come close. If you are using a dell PC or laptop, let me know and I will see if I can find the page with the mod instructions on it. If that's all you need, then you should be good to go after. If not, I would run Vista repair and see if it finds any problems. Good luck, and welcome to the new generation of user madness known as Vista ownership.

www.howtogeek.com great site for information on Vista not knowing what version of Vista you have and how much Ram etc which can all effect the freeze up effect in Vista, as to little ram and to much resources going out and depending on what setting you have on PC or laptop can make big problems, where simple change of going back to classic style can make big change. Go to web site and type PC freezes in search box and look at some of the different things people have found as causes.
