  • The resolution of the human eye is 0.2nm (2 millionths of a mm). This is the same as the practical resolution of an electron microscope (however, the theoretical resolution is 0.002nm). The resolution is the minimum distance that 2 points can be observed as separate, distinct points. This distance will, therefore, be increased the further from the eye the object is therefore, just like pixels on a camera's picture, the focus will become less sharp.
