Possession of illegal drugs is a serious offense. the sentencing is set by statute, depending on the amount possessed and whether it was for personal use or resale. your past criminal record will also have a bearing on the sentencing. If you do not have an attorney, you need one.

getting caught with cocaine is very seriouse. It's much more seriouse than marijuana. Depending on how old u r, u may get jail time. If it's your first offense you may just get many years of probation. But you really need to get a very good lawyer. And you should pray that you get a good prosecuter/judge. goodluck

it's your first offense, you'll probably get pti or probation you should have a lawyer but I know people who've gotten pti for selling heroin first offense with a public defender. It depends alot on your state but I live in New Jersey and I got 3 charges at once distribution of marijuans, dist. of cocaine plus a weapon charge, I paid for a private lawyer and got 2 years probation 6 months loss of license and about 1200 in fines. Everyone has a different story, but don't mess up on probation cause then you'll have to face your original charges all over again

well the search warrant probably was for something different than your cocaine, so i would imagine that they cant do anything about it b/c if cocaine wasn't on the warrant i don't think they can do anything about anything else they find that isn't on the warrant. i really am not sure

If you enroll in a drug rehab program before court, the judge will take this into account at sentencing, there are minimum sentences for this, but if he/she sees you are trying, then you won't get the max, that is for sure. It also stands with your comment that you are addicted, and it was for personal use, not to sell. Good luck to you!

More than 7 grams is a class x in illinois, but you may be able to get first offender probation anyway, which would mean a light jail sentence, no prison, fine, pee tests, and probation.

court costs could be about six hundred dollars. ten grams makes you a dealer. say you wont do it again. wear nice clothes. get a haircut. be respectfull. be sorry for getting in with the wrong crowd.

Ok; Judges have Judicial Discretation in MANY cases ... IF this is your 1st time ... you COULD get off with just a Fine and Supervised Probation ... It all depends on how big a Problem that drugs are in your area as to if the judge wants to be Harsh .... IF he does; you are looking at some Prison time (over a year) .. I'd suggest that you get into a program IMMEDIATELY as that will work in your favor wjhen going to court ... +5
