If the phone rings and it's you and somebody else in the room who is the one most likely to answer the phone?

My wife and I both have cell phones and no land line. So whoever's phone rings answers.

Well, if I'm at home, it's usually me because NO ONE ELSE EVER DOES. I prefer someone else to get it, unless I'm expecting a call, but my family members will LITERALLY have the phone a foot away from them and not answer it.

It would be me, only because I do not use a landline but rather a cell and it is usually clipped on me all the time.

If my home phone rings and my wife is there she usually answers it because she usually sits in the chair that's by it.

Not me. I hardly ever answer the phone, even if I'm the only one there. At home I wait to hear who it is on the answering machine and if I need to I'll pick up then, but I don't really want to be taking messages from my dad's customers, sometimes I have a hard time understanding people on the phone, particularly people with accents. It's just simpler to avoid answering and check the machine.

home: whoever is closest to the phone. But if i'm home during the day and it rings, i know its unlikely for me, so i let the other person get it. work: its usually a colleague or me, but sometimes you're not in the mood! But if the other person happens to be my manager, and its just the two of us, i know she'll never answer it (unless its directly her extension), so, it'll have to be me, even though i'm not aware that 'our' phones are ringing or i'm busy or on lunch etc. I CAN'T BELIEVE SHE DOESN'T ANSWER THE PHONES!
