I would say the biggest indicator for control issues would be throwing a fit if something doesn't go the way you want it. You suggest pizza and she suggests Italian and you pout, and say things like "nevermind I'm not hungry anyway" or whatever, until she says "FINE! Let's get the damn pizza!". Okay, that's a specific fight, but in a nutshell, if you get upset if you don't get exactly what you want when you want it, you may have some control issues. Also, if you don't want your partner doing specific things because it makes you feel bad. Hanging around other guys, going out drinking with friends, etc. Fixing a problem like that can be difficult, because it often comes from someplace else. There's a source for that issue, and it takes some soul searching to find out what is making a person feel like they need to control everything. But thinking about the fact that relationships require some compromise from both parties may help you remember that it's okay for your partner to make some of the decisions too. I hope that all made sense! Good luck!
