I don't believe they have sweat glands, and they pant, and I have to believe that the tongue wagging thing has something to do with cooling them down and ridding their body of heat.

Wrong, dogs DO sweat. They sweat from the bottoms of their feet through their pads.

DOGS DONT ACTUALLY SWEAT,AS THEY PANT THEMSELVES COOLER,AND IT'S THE PANTING EFFECT THAT ACTS LIKE A FAN ON THE INSIDE OF THE BODY :)
