  • Is it? I think that people just choose to ignore the examples of well-off people getting screwed over and the opposite. There's a special term for that in psychology where things seem one way but it is just due to faulty statistics or something, I think it is like confirmation bias.
  • That's life.
  • that's what we're fighting for...justice!
  • Well, if the deserving got everything and the undeserving got nothing, surely they would then switch roles.
  • Alot of it has to do with the fact that undeserving people are the people who will be more willing to compermise their principles in order to succeed when they are presented with an oppertunity to do so. Whereas good people often have to well developed of a sense of right and wrong to do so, so they get skrewed over by the bad people who are bold enough to take the chance and trample others beneath their boot heels.
  • It may seem like sometimes things are not fair, but I believe that God is in control of all things, if you believe in Him or not. For Christians, our reward is going to heaven, we will endure trials on earth, but this is but a moment in time, after you die there is an eternity - you will live forever. I believe when something bad happens it is a test to see your character. What has any of us done to really deserve anything? The people that you think are cruel that get a break, that is their only reward, what do you think will happen to them when they die? Like it or not, we will all die one day, it is up to us where we will spend eternity.
  • Who is to say what one deserves? Who is the judge that presides over that case? Life is cruel no matter what life your living in this existance. The negative and the positive can fall upon you like a ton of bricks at a moments notice. The universe swirls in gravitation pools of chaos and anarchy, yet so does chance. Because there is always a chance, an opportunity, a stroke of luck, can happen at anytime that can alter your life exponentially. For instance lets take a poor old elderly person, they're in jepordy of losing their home for some reason or another, or they're kids put them in some distant convelesant home to be forgotten. You may feel sorry for that person, typical human emotion to see something so wrong befall someone. But what's not to say that person did something greatly negative in their past, maybe they did something in their past intentionally or unintentionally to someone which in turn set the karmic forces in motion resulting in their latest demise or success. You don't know, nobody knows. Hence the chaos theory. The universe has a perfect set of checks and balances that equal out the negative and positive chaotic forces within our lives. Just because someone may seem to live a blessed existance now, does not mean they will never trip and fall flat on their face in the gutter. I'ts only a matter of time, and that is relative to your perception of where you are at in your life at this moment, right now.
  • thats like asking, why do hot dog buns come in 8 packs and buns come in 10 packs? well life dosnt always work out the way it supose to. but at least you can have a hot dog
  • If it is like my life, it always seems to hit you all at once. They say when it rains, it pours, I get a torrential downpour, LOL!
  • the good things will come from the bad things one day.
  • The old saying "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" is true. No matter how hard it is, no matter how much you feel like YOU are the ONLY one it's ever happened to (you aren't), and no matter how much you feel that you cannot handle it, God doesn't normally give you problems that you CAN'T. Just believe that you will prevail and keep a positive mental attitude (PMA - So you remember it!) and things WILL get better, believe me.
  • Its cruel along with the assholes out there making it harder for everyone else.
  • Its just the people in it. Not life itself. People are what make life sucks and there are people out there that get off sucking the life out of others.
  • Because "it's a cruel, (cruel) cruel summer" and "you're leaving me here on my own" ...
  • I think that life is just a set of random circumstances, People born into a third world country, often suffer cruel and dire circumstances, Hunger, abuse, cruelty, ignorance and death, surely if God is watching he could intervene. In the West, egotistical and ruthless business people often exploit their clients and employees and often get a real buzz out of screwing over people. You see these people often lead excessive and empty lives, but there is no conscience in them to see the error of their ways. Life can turn on a sixpence, look the wrong way for a second, whilst crossing the road and bam its all over. Its all just a case of chance. Its the simple answer, we would all love to believe that the good people eventually get a chance to improve their situation, just because they deserve it. That the bad people will get their just deserves. I simply think it is not true. Robert Magabe continues to starve, beat and abuse his people, and the west does nothing to intervene because he has no rich oil fields to plunder. Forget thinking that the cosmic forces of karma are swirling to deliver their reward, its simple not true. We are all only here for a short time, best make the most of those opportunities whilst they are there!!!!
  • There are is a possible answer: 1.I don't believe life or fate goes around saying I am going to be good who don't deserve any and be cruel to those who do. I beleive things happen to you because you set them up that way knowingly or unknowingly. Accidents do happen, there is evil in the world, and there are couinsidences. (sp?) I believe what doesn't kill you makes stronger no matter how horrible it can be. I had many beyond cruel things happen to me that took many years to get over, things that I could never get back. But if it were to happen to me in the future I would be able to handle it way way better... I developed a stronger emotional resilency (sp?).
  • for me it is looking at the question is the glass half full of half empty. for tse deserving better, they learn life lessons not explainable to those with many more goods. for those with many fortunes, we can only hope the sun light hits them straight on some day and they see the good they can do. merry xmas
  • Read Platos Republic for your answer. I have attached a link to the full text. http://classics.mit.edu/Plato/republic.mb.txt
  • Believe completely in Karma. It may not show up right away, but it always comes back to you. whether good or bad.
  • I've been asking myself the same thing all my life and still don't have an answer. The best explanation I can come up with is that good people care and are, thus, affected by everything, suffer more & get hurt, they also have a conscience and are bothered & affected by everything. Evil people relish in causing harm and pain, when something bad happens they never attribute it to their actions because they don't even acknowledge their wrongdoing in the first place. Being oblivious & having no conscience is the best assurance to happiness I've found out
