  • That's a very broad quote, but it can be applied to almost any concept: Let's say you're a university student and you really want to major in History, but you wonder what kind of jobs you may possibly get (sort of my situation); Or, you're a politician, and you want to enact laws that are tough on heavy polluters, but you'll lose a lot of blue-collar voters by doing so; Or maybe, you want to join the army to fight to protect your family, but you are extremely afraid of dying young... These are all situation in which other people may give you advice, and share their personal experiences, but ultimately, your biggest obstacle is making the big decision is your own fear. No matter what other people say or do, the path you choose will inevitably come down to whether you are willing to take that necessary risk.
  • Usually, people are harder on themselves than other people are on them. (Unfortunately or not, that is not so for myself.)
