Honestly...the only healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs per week. I tried many diets over the years, and I yo-yod up and down until I finally gained so much my bp/cholesterol got really bad. I talked to me doctor. He said a big NO to diets like Atkins...especially when you have high bp/cholesterol. I joined Weight Watchers and I have lost 82 lbs. I fluctuate up and down a very few pounds sometimes. But WW is all about controlling portions and reducing fat. My doctor, and many others, are always saying what a healthy program WW is. I don't know if you are male/female or your age. Some lose faster than others. I took nearly 3 years to lose 75 lbs. Some can lose that much in a year. If you stick to the program and get some kind of exercise, you will lose weight. I hate gyms and "working out," but I love to walk, and I do that as much as possible. Good luck to you! And stay away from fad diets, and miracle pills/drinks!
