  • One thing about the Supremes record sales totals- when Diana Ross joined the Supremes, the record company recorded her singing, by herself, most of the old songs before her and then dubbed her voice in with the others- and then counted hers as being part of all- some people counting the old records plus the new never-actually-existed-records(with Diana Ross)- that greatly inflated the totals available now. Plus, a few albums with Diana Ross were advertised with option-to-buy numbers that never referred to actually records made. The Jackson Five and Michael Jackson made many contracts that listed option-to-buy numbers- then the actual numbers of records made were never released by the record companies. There was a contract with an option to buy 100 million copies of Thriller, but on the ten year anniversary of the release of Thriller Billboard magazine said that only 7.6 million copies of Thriller were actually made. A few months ago there was a press announcement that there would be a party celebrating 25 million copies of Thriller sold(nothing about any actually being made). A week after the supposed-to-be party Billboard annonced that therewas no party and the room that the party was supposed to be in had never been rented or used on that date. Some of the little things that makes sense that Michael Jackson has only fellow pedophiles to find shelter with now.
