What do you think about a variation of French toast?

They're known as "Logs".
Slices of Jewish challah, "schmeared" with softened butter on one side,
Sprinkled with some cinnamon sugar, usually dashed with a few raisins - sometimes I use blueberries,
Rolled like a jelly roll
Secure with toothpicks
Dip in freshly beaten eggs and deep fry until golden brown on all sides. Yep, you have to turn them over - just like donuts or fritters.
OR put them on a greased pan, bake in a pre-heated 350-degree oven about 8 to 10 minutes or until the eggs "set" or have a slight golden brown color.
Serve with your favorite syrup, jelly or marmalade.

A side of grilled scrapple.

A portion of well-done home fries with extra onions!

A BIG seller on Sunday morning!

Freedomtoast! A flag pin for you're lapel sir. Look at all that French toast, French toast,French toast, French toast,French toast, French toast look at all the French toast, why it's almost un-american

I suppose maybe they can't help it.
I'd like to try the Jewish thing, that sounds good even if it is a variation on you know what toast.
