  • We are all born caring about each other. If you go to a hospital nursery, you can see how the babies cry when one of the others cry.
  • I've had enough experience with babies to know that they care alot about people around them. (My mother has worked in child development since before I was born.) If anything, we become harder and less compassionent as we grow up, we lose that spark of joy and unconditional love we had as young children, as the naivet of youth is washed away by the cold, hard experiences of our lives. And infants are no exeption to this rule.

Not true in all cases- me, 3 months ago, at age 59, I started http://lovingbabies.com . Supposed to be about the serious and dull stuff of being pregnant and having babies. Sneaky me, I put in a 96 audio files and 23 video files and lots of cute baby pictures, and other fun stuff- to develop an enthusaism into her having her baby and passing that enthusaism on to her child, something some never had at all.
