  • Not all people react to poison ivy. You may have walked through it and been exposed, but you might not react. Have you had a reaction in the past? If not, then it is possible you may not react now. Even if you have had a reaction in the past, there are multiple types of posion ivy and you might not react to the type you walked through. Chances are, at this point, you're probably OK. However, you need to make sure the area of contact has been cleaned and dried. Follow the link; http://www.poison-ivy.org/
  • When there is a reaction it shows up quickly. You still could have a reaction to the urisol oil if it's on the flip-flops. You could wash them but you're probably ok this time. Urisol allergy could develop anytime so don't start walking through ivy with impunity. You could also have been mistaken about it being poisen ivy. • It used to take me 2-3 days to react to poison oak but some people it's just hours or not at all. You could be one of those it doesn't affect. But don't think that just because you didn't react this time or are unaffected by it that it will stay that way forever. I've known people that used to be around it all the time with no effects and then one day, it got to them and they had it BAD!!! You can always change.
