There was a sandwich shop in Chicago, I believe it was called PBJ. The ladies who ran it had the brilliant idea of serving only peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, of many varieties. That's just about as lazy as the cereal only restaurants. American's, my friends, are getting lazier by the day.

"THE Muncheonette" About 25 years ago my friend, Jamie B. and I were sitting on the condo's deck, having our adult beverages and getting ready for a party. Since we were both in the business, we were going to buy a restaurant with one of my brothers. We went to look at a place. We were hot to trot for that place! We were thinking about the menu and what we were going to call it. "Something different" - yet catchy! We toyed with A WHOLE LOT of names: "3Bs"; "Our Spot" "THE Joint" and quite a few others. Nothing seemed to "click". Someone said, "Man, I'm hungry! I got the munchies!" Jamie blurted out: "THAT'S IT! THAT'S IT! What do you think of "THE Muncheonette!"? All of us agreed! Our offer wasn't accepted. The place was never purchased. The existing restaurant closed. It's been converted to a private residence - A BIG private residence.
