When I got an eye infection as a kid, my mother mixed Powdered Boric Acid with water and applied it to the eye. I cleared the infection. I can't remember how she mixed it, ie how much Boric Acid to so much water. Does anyone know how to make it?

It is rather risky to use powdered boric acid nowdays when there are liquid equivalents. The powder may not dissolve totally and could burn your eye, ask a pharmasist for a recommendation, those products are more than worth the risk of your eyesight.
