My most memorable concert experience was a solidarity gig for the guitarist of the Stranglers (who was in jail because of Marihuana use), back in 1980. There were many guests: the drummer from Steel Pulse, Ian Dury and Davey Payne, Steve Hillage, Robert Fripp, Billy Idol, Hazel O'Connor and a few others. It was at Dingwalls Dancehall in London, and Davey Payne (the Saxophone player from the Blockheads) had dressed up as a Bobby and played his sax like a police signal.

it was Blood hound gang last summer in one festival. It was so sick and strange, but in the same time non other band what i have seen can give such energy to audience.

Ramones, Debbie Harry and the Severed Heads (Talking Heads without ego man) as the line up, then all getting on stage at once. There have been a few others that have been pretty good, but that lineup was great.

Two are very memorable. One was the the first day, last act of the evening, David Bowie, at the first US Festival. I've never felt so entertained and mesmerized by a complete performance, and I mean it was an awesome performance. There were near 100,000 people there, all on their feet late at night 400,000 watts of sound. So many musicians on stage! Just amazing!!!!!] The other one I remember very well was a Stev9e Ray Vaughn concert where the parking was just cars crammed into a dirt lot all right against each other, in the dark. Concert was great! I think it was our 3rd SRV concert. But afterwards when we got back to our car, we found out that we had been robbed. We had had to drive down to L.A. for this concert and had lots of clothes and tools and such, and they took everything out of their. All our clean laundry, all the tools, stereo. It was a camper van so they took parts of it, too. One other thing that was in there was a very valuable antique armoire, in huge pieces. But probably because the cars were so tightly packed together, they couldn't' have gotten it out of the van, luckily:-(

I have been to some pretty amazing concerts but the best must have been the first time I saw Stevie Nicks. I was so excited and the seats were so close I nearly blacked out from the excitement. The second time was actually a Dave Matthews band concert. It was pouring rain and we stood on the lawn and got soaked. Everyone was going crazy and it was like the biggest party ever!!! I ended up losing the sole of my shoe and my metaphorical soul in a way or so.... hah. And some of the Indie shows are amazing because we go backstage and party with the band!!! I LOVE the summer for all the live music. . .

Janis Joplin and The Rolling Stones in concert together in Florida back about 1969, right after I got back from Vietnam. Totally awesome!!!

Lynyrd Skynyrd, Reno, 1999. My date was already drunk before we ever got there. He bought himself 3 cups of beer, and spent the entire concert leaning against me and spilling beer on my shoes.
