What constitues a picnic? is it eating out of doors generally or do you have to have walked far before eating?

To me a picnic is, anytime you lay down a blanket to eat on.

IDK... My boyfriend and I had a picnic in his office. He wasn't able to leave because he was swamped with work, so we just sat on the floor in his office on a blanket that I brought and of course I had a picnic basket filled with his favorites and we had an indoor picnic. It's whatever you make it I guess.
