I think it's a meaningless token gesture intended to make the huge, faceless poison-factory that is the McDonald's Corporation appear considerate of its customers' health and wellbeing. Taking out trans-fats is better than what McDonald's was doing before, but the probable end result is that more people will eat larger portions there under the false belief that without trans-fats, McDonalds has somehow been magically transformed into a "Healthy" choice. So in the end, the removal of trans-fats will probably serve more to improve McDonald's public relations and business, not their customers' health.

Will it still run in my diesel engine? Just kidding. Wish I could burn it as I just paid $4.95/gallon for diesel yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anytime one can get rid of transfats from their diet is a good time.
