  • No. I can usually only tell the difference due to spelling or subject.
  • Yes, most people who can speak english as a second language show some signs of it. The same way I would be if I attempted to write in German for example. The sentences just don't flow perfectly, or they use a word that doesn't quite fit in the context. This isn't universal obviously, but it does seem to be true on a general scale.
