    Years ago before you could buy disposable douches for feminine hygiene. women used a rubber bag often used like a hot water bottle to clean themselves. Vaginal douches may consist of water, water mixed with vinegar, or even antiseptic chemicals.

    literally, a vagina cleaner, but according to the slang dictionary it is a "term of general abuse" that was origintated in the US in the 40's and has come back into popularity recently.

    So funny you asked me that.My tweelve year old asked me the other day. It is a bag of clean water that a woman uses after she has her period to make her feel fresh.Sometimes it is used as a nasty word to call others.And it is called a douche so douchebag is the slang for a nasty name.

    HaHa. I remember when I was working, a little 5 year old came to my desk, I asked; "why are you late today"?
    The little girl, with the most serious face, and cute, responded;"Gramma Wizzie's a duutbag, gez. I still laugh..I know with the other answers you now know what one is, so I thought I'd tell you that , hope it's ok!
