If the ball hits the batter while he is still in the batters box it is a foul ball. By rule, if the ball touches a player in foul territory it is automatically a foul ball. There is a small section of the batter's box that is in fair territory but it is generally accepted that even if the ball touches the batter in this small section of the box in fair territory that it is still called a foul ball.

I believe it counts as a strike. The interference rule only applies outside of the batter's box.

It's a foul ball. If a batted ball hits the batter when he's in fair territory the batter is out.
