I think that most of them are a scam. Almost everyone would love to work at home. You might be able to hire yourself out as a typist at home if you can type fast.

No, not all work at home jobs are scams. The ones that advertise heavily and tell you how much money you can make doing blaw, blaw, blaw probably are, but there are legitimate opportunities. I know of one that allows people to work as tutors for students via the internet. The tutors can work from their homes if they have computers and internet connections. Of course, they are not going to get rich doing that and they do have to be pretty well educated in their respective fields just to get the job. There are other cases in the corporate world where this is also possible. However, once again, these are jobs that require a significant amount of expertise in something that can actually be done from home and such jobs really aren't that common.

Not all are scams, but MANY are, and the scams make theirs sound as close to the real ones as possible. AND, if you received it in email as SPAM, it's PROBABLY a SCAM. See my pages at http://www.orangefrogproductions.com/ofp2s_scams_home.shtml and it's links for examples of scams, including various work-at-home.

Most of them are scams, but there are a few that are legit. I do surveys and stuff during the summer. I can usually average about $500 a month. It's not much, but it's good supplemental income for doing very little.
