for sure you can say good bye, i did last year and it was a good thing for me to take a break, now i only visit AB on occassions. but leaving and not coming back on everyday was a bit difficult for me

I think I have an idea why, but you're right, there comes a time when we have to move on. I love AB too, but I know that somehow, someday, I would have to leave it permanently (death? AB closing down? I don't know). Anyway, I still hope you try to drop by from time to time (like once or twice a week). I hate it when a user leaves. Whatever makes you happy.

I wish all of the interpersonal strife could just end on all sides. I do not mean just with you and those you have disagreed with, ILMB, I mean ALL of it. Unfortunately, humans just do not work that way. I have seen part of what is causing you to leave, ILMB. I have the feeling that you are not the only one to leave (I am not leaving). Just a word from someone who has experience with this... I take frequent hiatuses. When the stress gets to me I take a powder. Often I do not plan on coming back. That is part of my own defense mechanism. So far, I always come back, however, I am nowhere near at my previous levels of participation. That being said, if you DO go for good, take good care.

I also hope you come back and visit once in a while. I'll miss you, but I am not here near as much as I used to be either. It just gets old to see the crazy stuff and all, so I can understand why you are tired of it all. Take care!

Ilmb, I've enjoyed your upbeat presence here and have always stopped to read when I saw your avatar. Endings are always beginnings, too, and I hope this is the beginning of a fantastic summer for you and yours. I love that poem where a man talks about what he'd do differently, and he says, "I'd smell the flowers more." Smell the flowers ~ hell, plant, grow, cut AND smell the flowers:)! Best wishes!

You will be missed by many. And replaced by no-one! You always had a way of touching peoples hearts, I know because we had many good times. Those times are what I will remember, the 2am good nights, the 3 of us laughing our heads off!!!!!!!!!!!LOL I wish you happiness, and when you fill the back of your truck up with treasures...:), just think.......mine is full too!!!!!!!!LOL Good Luck!!!!

ILMB, Sorry I missed your good-bye, but I have only been on once or twice a week since the banning of MommaBear and AuntieEm. I keep hoping that the administrators of Answerbag will do some out-of-the-box thinking about the way such situations are mediated that is more user friendly and fair to all. Doesn't look like it's going to happen. I know you are off on some grand new adventures and that you will have some thrilling times. Will be joining you there!

Oh ILMB I'm so sorry I wasn't here for your leaving - I hope you get this message somehow. We always got along so well, you were always a good friend to me and I loved seeing you around. I haven't a clue what happened but in any case, I agree with what some of the others have said - the fun has gone out of AB somewhat of late, and banning MB and Auntie Em was just the icing on the cake. For myself, I only pop in when I've nothing better to do anyway, so... I treat it more like a passtime now than the addiction it was! I really do hope you'll be happy, and that you will visit from time to time, but in any case, if you want to just kick off your shoes and stare into the sunset, then you do it with the knowledge you are well-loved.
