  • A good question, but no. Teflon was actually discovered when it was found as residue stuck inside, I believe, a beaker at DuPont Labs. It gets applied to a surface (which it must adhere to), which makes it less likely - not impossible - that OTHER things will stick to the surface. This reminds me of the old riddle: "Why can't you make a liquid that will dissolve any solid it comes in contact with?" The answer: What exactly would you keep it in? lol
