Question

Help answer this question below.

I have 2 subs.. one is 400 watts and the other 1200 watts .. if i hook them both up to the same amp... say like a 1400 watt amp.. will it blow the smaller one?

    yes because the amp is going to try to send equal power to each sub so either buy a 1200 watt amp and a 400 that rms and peaks match closely or chunk the small one and just do the 1200

    k so if i match the rms .. the rms on one sub is way bigger than the other .. so your saying it will not blow the smaller one

    best thing to do is take the rms of the subs and match them up to the rms of an amp. too much power will blow your subs
