I love James Taylor and how he feels like he's just one of your friends sitting around playing and singing, but I was really into Cat Stevens. Knew every song, went to concerts. He was awesome!!!
-
I was a Cat Stevens fan as a chid. My grandmother and some of my teachers used to sing his songs to be. So I am undoubtedly biased. But Cat Stevens nonetheless.
-
I have been to a concert that James Taylor put on and he was excellent. It's funny to see young girls getting all crazy over an old bald guy. He is awesome.
-
James Taylor is great.

I am partial to Jim Croce because my guitar teacher resembled him so much in appearance and mannerisms. I was just a teenager and his songs were simple and illustrative. In a time before MTV I liked the stories told in "Operator" "Bad Leroy Brown". And "Time in a Bottle" was bittersweet, especially when he died. These songs may seem unsophisticated now, but they were perfect for that time.

Yusuf Islam.

I like them all alot but I would have to stick with good old J.T.
-
I love Mr. Taylor, but Tea for the Tillerman w/such a good album,, Hard Headed Woman, yeah, but he left the US and wouldn't sing only in the Maas??sp and vowed never to record again, pretty weird especially since he went to Iran, then to Afganastan when hell w/breaking loose.

I liked them all, especially Jim Croce. But JT has so many good songs/hits... 1/2 tied: Croce and Taylor 3 Cat Stevens (I did like his older stuff)
