Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 (old model) washer: agitate barely moves, it attempts to spin (nothing really happens). Is this a belt issue or something else?

Theres a few things that can do that .If its after 1985 model its worth repairing .It doesent have a belt ,but has other devices that can break.There a very good designed unit and I fix them all the time .Call me (Keith or Tony) @ 366-1861----All home appliance service.Las vegas

I'm probably too late in responding but here goes. Might be a case it is low on fluid. With low or no fluid the washer will not spin out the water. It is generally a simple repair anyone can do. Just lift up the cover and look for the reservoir.
