Took picures of the wildlife and the town parade.

I use to stay in a hotel once a month, just to get away. I would take a book and go check in for the weekend. no one would know where I had gone. it was so great..
Not exactly. I've seen most of the attractions here. I stayed in a hotel here only once and that was for a birthday party for my daughter when she was about 8. Nine little girls in a plush hotel with indoor heated pool. They had a blast and the hotel made a policy of no more kids birthday parties with over four kids. My house didn't get destroyed though.
Yup. When I *was* just a tourist here!
;-)
umm not me i live in hawaii and i think its great when i see tourist enjoying our beautiful place =)
Yes, every once in a while I'll take out the old digital camera and have a theme day....some theme days have been:
churches/stained glass,
cemeteries,
architecture,
cool store/restaurant signage,
different ethnic districts around the city.
It's fun.
Yes, we live in the Washington, DC area and there are a lot of places to go sightseeing. We have also checked ourselves into a nice hotel or bed and breakfast for a romantic getaway.
That wouldn't be much fun or take more than an hour. No hotel here and not many attractions to take photos of.
We've done that though not staying someplace else. But we have visited places we always said we would, like tourists, used the tourist guides for our area. It's fun and a different way of looking at 'home'.
Oh, sure I do. I do take friends from out of town to the "touristy" places. And, working in the travel industry, some of our hotel reps give us free stays at their hotels so that we can check them out. In fact, I'm doing that this Saturday (our anniversary is Thursday, so that will be our "night out").
