  • Hmmm...If you think about it, all cars are individual, even though most come off of an assembly line. They don't all run the same, they each get their own set of blemishes and what not. Their owners may customize them in some way. But I would consider concept cars to perhaps be the rarest, because the car companies only make a very small few, to take to shows and see what the public thinks about them. and they are truly unique.
  • Afaria Chip.....its only one of a kind.......coz i made it in my GARAGE......Me and my bro.......we both are mechanical engineers......
  • There are many one of a kind cars, some the last of just a few and some, one of's like concept cars. There is no telling what is the rarest of them.
  • Here's an article about one of the world's rarest cars: http://www.mobilewhack.com/reviews/mercedes-benz_a_320_-_w_142_-_worlds_rarest_car_ever.html "The world's rarest car, the MERCEDES-BENZ A 320 - W 142 is up for grabs, it is truly a one of a kind car and a collectors dream. This luxury car was made by the Daimler-Benz company during circa 1948 and then was sold to a businessman in Indonesia and was later resold to an individual in Australia in the eighties."
  • Rauch &Lang 1930 Gasoline/Electric sedan There were 3 built.1 is known to exist. It was custom built for Col. Edward Green, the son of Hetty Green, the richest woman in the world in 1912. She was widely known as the 'Witch of Wall Street.' The car cost $1,000,000 to develop and build in 1930. It was a joint effort between General Electric and Rauch/Lang. It has a gasoline engine driving a generator dynamo which powers an electric drive motor. The car runs and drives quite well.
  • Any ford focus that isn't a total piece of shit. Very rare indeed.
  • The Delorean is pretty rare. Definitely one of a kind.
  • Not really sure about this, but (shoot) as an automobile historian, I should know this. I do know that the chances of you getting a 1971 Hemi Cuda convertible you would have to give up your first child. I know already, they aren't selling. Only nine were manufactured. All owned. Thing that scares some people, is that I'm a female and I know way too much than they do! What fun!
  • I sure would like to meet you! I absolutely love cars!!
  • well if u've seen my 1979 ford fiesta.. u would be asking this question!! damn right!
  • It would have to be totally custom built like one of the ones built on monster garage. The firetruck limo comes to mind.

  • the lamborghini Mercialago
  • Rarest..probably some prototype cars...one of a kind...My dad's 76 Torino...Not another one like it...
  • The first of any car model built and rolled off the production line. I would like to have my hands on the first Mustang built right now.
  • 1948 Tucker. Only 50 were ever made before the company folded.
  • Mclaren F1. It was the Worlds fastest production car for over 10 years (1994-2005), the longest any car has ever held the record and its title was taken in 2005 and given to the Koeingsegg CCS, another one of a kind car. Only 107 cars were manufactured, 65 of those were street versions, 5 were LM’s (had a back spoiler and a wider wheelbase), 3 were long tail road cars, 5 were prototypes, 28 Le Mans racecars, and 1 was an LM prototype. Today there are only 7 left in the world. The seat setup inside is one of a kind as well. It is a 3 passenger car and the driver’s seat is in the middle and the 2 passengers seats are setback on either side of the driver’s seat. The doors open upwards too. It is a pretty rare and unique car.
  • The true one of a kind car is the 1983 corvette. There is only one in existance. Chevrolet couldnt meet government emmision standards in 1983 and only 26 were produced all were destroyed by GM excpet one. It is on display in the Corvette museum in Bowling Green Kentucky.
  • Although your question is vague and subjective, my answer would have to be the Bugatti Type 41 Royale. It was a huge luxury car featuring a 779 cubic inch engine, of which six were produced All six production Royales still exist (the prototype was destroyed in an accident in 1931) -- and each has a different body, making each truly unique. A 1931 Bugatti Royale Type 41 Cabriolet is on permanent display at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. A placard by the car reads: "1931 Bugatti Royale Type 41 Cabriolet, Ettore Bugatti, Molsheim, France, Body by Weinberger, OHC, in-line 8 cylinder, 300 horsepower, 779 cu.in. displacement, 7,035 lbs. Original price: $43,000, Gift of Charles and Esther Chayne" $43K at the height of the Great Depression may have kept old Ettore from achieving his dream of selling 25 of these behemoths. I have had the privilege of sitting in one of these rare works of art many years ago, so I am a bit prejudiced. ;-) Learn more here ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugatti_Royale

  • 69 DODGE CHARGER
  • Rarest? It could only be the one my cousin and I built when we were young. We called it Hippocrates. We used my design and his money.
  • There are many one of a kind cars built over the years as concept cards and a case could be made they are all tied as the rarest cars in the world. One of my favorites is the 1938 Phantom. It was built for Rust Heinz who was killed before the car went to the assembly line. IT was ahead of its time with features like a padded interior, gages for fuel economy, battery charge, a barometer, and a compass. There was also an overhead console with indicators to tell the driver if a door was or the radio or lights were on. This unique and futuristic car is currently owned by the National Auto Museum in Reno, NV. However, I would have say that the Strassenwagen built by Siegfried Marcus is the rarest in the world. Although he built four cars between 1868 and 1873 only one remains. That one is on display in the Vienna Technical Museum and can still be driven under its own power. In my book you can’t get much rarer than that. Bob

  • I would say a unique, one-of-a-kind car that you are least likely to see or know about. It might be one that someone has built in a garage but has never exposed it to the public via driving it on the roads or posting photos of it on the internet. Hence, nobody will ever know about this particular car unless the builder decides to finally reveal it to the public. Another rare one-of-a-kind car would be one that once existed but is now gone. Other than that, it would have to be a car that does not exist as a real car that someone drives but as a one-of-a-kind model car, especially if someone constructs it but stows it away in a closest and is never to be displayed to anyone else. The next rarest would be a car that someone has imagined and has drawn on paper. This person decides to keep the sketches in a file and is not shown to anyone else. Down from there, any unique car that appeared in someone’s mind but was forgotten about a few moments later and is bound to never reappear again in this person’s mind. And finally, the ultimate rarest car would be one that no one in the world has ever imagined before and most definitely will never happen in the future, especially since car designs are virtually limitless.
  • Christler Diablo 1 of 1 ever made!
  • I visited a collection of rare cars at the Lane Museum in 2008 and consider the propeller driven Helicron to be rarest in design and numbers produced. http://lanemotormuseum.org/collection Here is another link to the history of Helica . I believe it is the same company which made the Heicron in Lane's museum. http://www.dself.dsl.pipex.com/MUSEUM/TRANSPORT/helica/helica.htm Wonderful imagination.
  • AS FAR AS I KNOW, I'D SAY A 1918 STUTZ BEARCAT.
