We haven't ironed clothes in years..we banished the iron and the ironing board and clothes that require ironing from our lives...yes, we still have the board and the iron..the iron is in our closet (just in case)..the board is somewhere in our garage..the clothes were among those we gave to The Salvation Army years ago! :) Happy Monday! :) ((hugs))

I rarely iron, but when I do, I sing songs and make up lyrics as I iron.

I usually look out the window or watch TV when I iron, unless I'm sewing and pressing. Then I'm all business.

I think about mother and how she we would find her everyday after school, standing there in the kitchen ironing. Eventually the manager of the restaurant decided it just wasn't healthy and called the police. They took her away to live in the mental hospital. I still remember what she said as they helped her into the car that took her away. She said "Millenium fish hand.. I tole you.. I tole you... Bigguns... " Every time I see an iron I think of her.

The little bottle with the holes in the lid my mother used to use to dampen the clothes while ironing. Before steam irons.

I think that I should have a maid performing that task. I'm not very good at ironing.:(

If something is wrinkled, I throw it in the dryer on "tumble press". I haven't picked up an iron in about 15 years.

Actually I prefer not to think and either watch a TCM movie or listen to music. I find Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries make the best creases

i just think about how much i am saving by doing it myself. or how good i will feel wearing a pressed shirt. or how easy it is to iron, and why cant people iron their own shirts. i use spray starch on the collars.

Nothing. I rarely, if ever, iron. I send my stuff to the cleaners and have them do it.
