Highway miles are generally considered a lot less stressful on a vehicle than city miles. I would suggest the deciding factor would be how good and up to date the service history is on the vehicle, and what, if any, a pre-purchase inspection problems the car may have.

Pay your local auto club $100-$150 to come out and inspect the vehicle thoroughly. They will give you a full report with any defects, parts in need of repair, damage, etc. From there you can make an educated decision. You should also go online, find similar vehicles, and see what they are selling for. You don't want to get ripped off. Plus, for reference, I have a 2000 model year car with majority highway miles, with 88,000km on it (55,000 miles), so for me the Lexus would be a very high mileage car. It's a toyota, so it's known to be reliable, but even the best car will fail with a bad owner. In the end, go with your gut. *Just thought about this: Call a few parts stores and see what new brakes, suspension, rotors, oil changes, etc. cost so you can get an idea of ownership costs.
