When you're watching a movie, if humans and other animals are in peril. Do you feel worse if the other animals get killed than if the humans get killed? Why or why not?

    Animals for me too and you make a very good point my friend; it's mainly because they seem more helpless or innocent.

    Of course it depends on how the plot is set up; The Bridge to Terabithia tore my heart out. :'-(

    We are all animals, but a dog, cat, or cow has no use to me, and a human life far outweighs that, of any damn animal!!!! I eat chickens, cows, and fish, keeps me big and strong, and it's only use, to me. We need humans more then animals!!!

    I can't watch movies like that, but somehow I feel worse when animals are in peril. Maybe because they are largely helpless and depend on us to care for them. (I'm talking about domesticated animals and house pets, of course.) I can't watch any show where a cat or dog is hurt.

    I have no feeling either way. Its only a movie and no one really died.

    If I had to pick, a human. You should have had some vicarious connection with them. If everyone did their jobs right.
