  • Yes very much so.
  • Heavens yes!!! But what fool wants to find it?
  • Yes! I just saw it in an Indiana Jones movie today
  • Maybe but I'm affraid it wouldn't work today, no one knows what a pair is!!!!!!LOL
  • It could do. When Pharaoh Necho sacked Jerusalem in 609BC, he listed all the things he carried off from the Temple- but the Ark was not amongst the things mentioned. It was probably hidden by the Jewish priesthood, many of whom died, and their secret with them. Since then, there have been many suggestions as to where it was hidden. Caves, perhaps. After all, the area around Jerusalem is limestone and full of them. If you consider that it was purely by accident that the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in their cave, might it not be possible that the Ark is still waiting to be rediscovered. It is certain that some people believe that it is buried beneath the Temple Mount. There have been many accounts recently of people tunnelling beneath the Mount and it is possible that they are looking for it. Still, another theory says that it was smuggled out to Ethiopia, where it is still. The Coptic church quietly seems to assert that it is in Axum, where something precious is being guarded in a church, by a man who never leaves the precincts. (My personal view is that this object is not the Ark, although it may be a copy of it. Remember that the Ethiopian kings claim descent from Solomon, having the Ark legitimises them. But it is unlikely that the real Ark could have been or would have been sent to Ethiopia to protect it from the Egyptians. The movement of such an object so far would have created attention, and had to pass very close to Egyltian held territory.) The last view is that it has already been found. There is strong evidence that everything is set for a rebuilding of the Temple, should the opportunity arise. The priests have been trained, the vestements prepared and all the Temple objects have been either remade or recovered. The only impediment to this is the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the top of the Temple Mount.
  • Have you been watching Indiana Jones again? It's on right now but I'm sure you're aware of that. Honestly, no I don't think it exists. It's just a legend.
  • Yes, I believe it still exists. I'm sure God will reveal it in His own time, probably right before Jesus returns.
