Helo everyone, I am a Permanent Residence of Canada and would like to travel to Europe (Schengen space), do I need to request a visa for a short stay (1 week) touristic purpose ? As for the Switzerland I do not need visa at all :o) thank you for reply

You need to check with the countries that you are traveling to. The Schengen Visa is issued at either the first place of entry (if is the only place you are planning to visit) into Europe or the country were you are staying the longest. http://www.eurovisa.info/WhereApply.htm Read this info. Main destination means place you plan to stay the longest. and in your circumstance, you are a citizen of another country but a resident in Canada, so you likely have to apply based on your citizenship rather than your Canadian Residency.
