thats like asking you to stop drinking water' its there nature' change the cats diet' his food sucks or he would eat it .

Cats instinctively hunt. The only way to make him stop completely, is to keep him inside. I have a cat who would leave the body and eat the head of everything she caught. I was told she was trying to share her catch with me. The reason he appears sick is that the critters he is eating are probably giving him worms.

I totally agree with Grammy. He probably needs to be wormed.

He's a cat. That's what cats do. They don't play cards. They don't play Scrabble or Monopoly. They don't play Lego or train sets, they hunt. When they don't hunt, they play hunt. Be happy knowing that he can survive without you. I have a friend who used to have two pet cats. He'd go on holidays without worrying about how the cats would be fed because he knew they could look after themselves. As for the sickness, sorry I don't know. Maybe worms like the others said.

You can make harder for your cat to succesfully hunt by giving him a (breakaway)collar with a bell or chime or something on it, it allerts the prey to it's pressence giving em time to et away. If you realy want to stop it keep him indoors always. The being skinny can have a medical cause. Eating small prey shouldn't make your cat sick, gastritis does.

Make him an indoor cat. He'll be cleaner, healthier, and safer. If he's eating game, you need to have him checked for parasites. He needs to see the vet, soon! :)

Your cat just likes wild food. There is a considerable risk of your cat eating rodenticides, using chemicals to do a cat's job.

He's trying to eat a better diet. He knows he shouldn't be eating corn and soy and wheat which is what is in most cat food. Cats can't digest grains, so it's a mystery why they put them in cat food other than as cheap filler. I would worm him and then feed him better food, like Wellness, which has no grains.

A cat collar with a little bell on it is an effective and simple way of warning any prey. Do you give Puss regular worm treatments?
