  • America isn`t the only country that performs abortions, lots do, free of charge even.
  • No, they are both entirely different scenarios. i believe this question was posted just to be contoversial.
  • That really isn't a very well thought out question. Are you serious?
  • No, no and no. They're completely different and I refuse to argue about such a ridiculous question
  • There is a similarity in that both are, essentially, the ending of lives, but that's about where the similarities end. For one thing, abortions are not performed with malice. In the vast majority of cases, a woman doesn't choose to get an abortion out of some hatred for the foetus inside her. In fact, it's not uncommon women to fall into a period of serious mourning and depression after an abortion. The Nazis, on the other hand, were quite proud of their genocide. Also, one must consider *Why* murder is such a big crime. Personally, I do not consider the ending of a life wrong in and of itself, and The crime in murder is removing someone from the earth against their will. Those killed in the Holocaust had, unless I'm sorely mistaken, an express will not to be killed. The lives ended through abortion do not, for the most part, even have brains well developed enough to be self-aware. Also, I find your claim that abortion has been "ignored or even denied" is utterly preposterous. I've yet to meet many people who outright deny the reality of abortion. There are plenty of people who disagree on what exactly it constitutes, but everyone I've talked to on the subject acknowledges that it exists. I have yet to hear a single person say "Abortion never happened". There's a big difference between acknowledging something and disagreeing on it, and saying that many people 'Ignore or even deny' abortion is, in the way you use it, simply another way of saying that anyone who disagrees with you is simply ignoring the fact that you're beliefs on abortion are somehow indisputably right. It's not ignorance or denial, but rather difference of opinion. In conclusion, America nowhere near as bad as Nazi German was then. In fact, although I can't speak for Hitler's regime specifically, I know that Benito Mussolini's fascist regime was very strongly against abortion, and any other thing that contributed to women being anything besides slaves and baby-factories for their husbands. So if you're looking for similarities between modern day America and fascist dictatorships, you're looking in entirely the wrong places.
  • yes americans who have abortions are clearly hitler. NOT! jeez think about it, just think about it
  • The mass murders in the Holocaust were done for vastly different reasons than abortions. In the Holocaust peoples were targeted for complete extermination for "race pollution", crimes against life, being unworthy of life. I do not know of any series of abortions being committed to eliminate a group of people, such as the Jews, Gypsies, Slavs, Jehovah's Witnesses, and so forth. Yes, I am certain that some women have abortions because they are pregnant by a member of the wrong ethnicity, however, genocide is not the idea. Abortion is not done to silence voices who oppose the abortionists. Political dissidents, dissenting clergy, and "asocials" went to the camps. Another group of people who went to the camps were doctors and scientists who refused to tow the party line. They fell under the various dissenter categories. Abortions are also not performed to soak every dime out of the victims like was done to the Jews. It was done to the rest of us but the Jews were the main targets for financial draining. Abortions do not take years to perform and are not done with the purpose of being as tortuous as possible. I have seen a video of an abortion that was sickening... those babies feel pain. The abortionist who saw that video refused, after seeing it, to perform another abortion. However, sadism is not the purpose of abortion. I do not believe that any of the aborted babies have had medical experimentation performed on them like was done in the Holocaust by such as "Dr." Mengele. If you refuse to have an abortion you are not subject to death. If you hid a Jew or any other of the targeted people (nobody tried to hide us, of course) and were caught, you, your family, and sometimes your neighbors went to the Camps. I do not think that abortion has been ignored and denied. People are very vocal on both sides, examining it clearly and closely. There is a HUGE and partially successful movement to obliterate the entire record of the Holocaust. I do not think that that is going to be done here.
  • LOL @ "abortion didn't happen" Who the fuck says that? (in reference to "for both involve the loss of MANY lives, and both have been ignored or even denied" That is just too retarded to take seriously. Go Go Gadget Troll!! WOO HOO!!! Grow a nad.
  • I don't like abortion either, but what are we to do? Tell women who get pregnant that they HAVE to have the baby? The only practical solution for the question of abortion is to place the decision to abort squarely where it belongs ... with the one who is pregnant.
  • The alternative to allowing abortions - forcing women to have every baby ever conceived, even those through rape and loveless relationships - is far worse. . And besides, if you have such a bone to pick with abortion, why don't you target China instead of the US?
  • The Holocaust involved people in which God had breathed into them the breath of life.
  • What're you doing, writing an essay for your church or something? Anyway, I wouldn't draw that comparison, considering there is not any debate as to whether or not those Jews were actually alive.
  • Abortion is between the mother, doctor and her maker. Their is no comparison considering abortion is done without consideration to religion.
  • none whatsoever! and it's extremely sick of you to make such a comparison. the nazis killed for political, racial and religious reasons. comparing that to abortion is sick sick sick. you've been dr'd...
  • Yes and yes. It is a very sad time when this is allowed to happen..
  • Yes, there are many similarities.
