iam not sure about this but i dont think you need a passport to travel to canada either but i could be wrong.

If it's state to state or USA territory you don't need a passport. If you leave the country and plan on getting back in, you need a passport.

To get on any domestic/commercial flight in the United States all people must show approved photo ID. Though a passport is not required to move within the United States, a passport is accepted as approved photo ID. This is true for US citizens and non US citizens traveling within the US>
