No. you must have underlying causes that make you cry before going to sleep. depression would be my diagnosis. i am not a doctor, but i deal with depressed people every day. Make an appointment with a clinical psychologist asap. Crying yourself to sleep is not the way you should have to live. there is medication for this problem. make the call.....now.

No, it's not normal. There are alternative approaches to managing mood using special methods to let go of loss or feelings of failure. Also there are many different kinds of support groups, some have a spiritual basis, others are based on common life experience. Techniques such as meditation and positive thinking can do a world of good to restore the harmful effects of negative thinking. I agree with another answer, do yourself a favor, and make yourself an appointment at a "mental health" clinic. A world of other options can be explained to you there.

Is it normal to do anything. What is normal...an opinion. I could say it is normal and another person could say it wasn't. I do believe that it could be emotionally damaging. Crying frequently because of emotional or physical pain is not a healthy activity. I would suggest finding someone to talk to(exp:a friend, counselor, family member, etc...) You could possibly have clinical depression which can be helped. Don't be embarrassed, depression happens to thousands of people, probably millions. Get help now and that way you can spend your nights smiling to sleep.

I think everyone does that sometimes. However, if it becomes a regular occurance for you, that might signal severe depression. In any case, it's nothing to be ashamed of.
