How likely is it to have diabetes even though blood suger was checked normal a few months ago? OR; How likely is it to have the flu when it's been hot all week?

Diabetes requires a fasting blood glucose over 140 on 2 occasions to be confirmed. (this changes often so I may be off). One high reading cannot be used to indicate overall status.
