Yes. It is education and even vocational education if you want to take it that far.

I think if they can cover a lot of different cultures, and how music plays a part in their environment, then yes. The origin of more popular instruments, and how some are made. The different types of instruments that are used and the importance of them during special rituals,etc. I think its a good idea :)

Yes, as it is great for the brain and aids in all sorts of learning abilities. It stimulates the brain and lets it work things out. Students that learn music at an early age do better in school, on tests, and acquiring new skills. It's not just 'music'. It's working the brain, using it.
