  • If you just started it chances are it might not work how you want it too... you will most likely have break through bleeding.
  • It's usually fine to do this - skipping a period with your birth control, I mean, as long as you don't take them all at once (I'm assuming you aren't). You may get some spotting though, which can be irritating, and a little cramping, but it will hold your period off for another few weeks. If you have any doubts about this you really should ask a doctor.
  • Vacations, honeymoons, there are lots of reasons to want to skip a period. And birth control pills are the way to do it. Just check with your doctor in case there is some medical reason for you not to do this. Doctors are asked this a lot. I had my tubes tied many years ago, but my doctor gave me a couple of packs of pills and told me how to use them for this very reason, when I was honeymooning a few years ago.
