I try to stay within the speed limit, but in my area people drive like bats outta hell. If you don't keep up with the flow, you'll get run over. So sometimes I go 5+
-
**looks around to make sure POLICE...IN HOT PURSUIT is not listening** I never drive the speed limit...I so have a lead foot!
-
I'm a speeder. My kids are starting to notice, too. I get things like this from the back seat: 'Mama, daddy doesn't drive fast on this road." or 'Mama, that sign says 45." Soon I'll be hearing things like "HEEELLLP!" from the trunk...
-
I keep to the speed limit.... mostly to piss the people off around me and every now and again I speed up a little if they are attempting to pass me and then slow once they've caughten up to my speed. I can be ignorant every now and again.
-
I have never gotten a speeding ticket before except the time that a school speed limit light was blinking and i didnt know cause it was 2 streets to my left as i was going right and i got a tickt for going 40 in a 25.
-
i always give it that extra 5+
-
I drive slower in the patrol car than I do in my own vehicle.
-
I tend to stay with the flow of traffic, whatever it is. Usually 3-4 mph faster than the limit.
-
i always drive the limit - i never break the laws - i am 53 and i have never had a ticket
-
Used to be more like 15+ over, but now I stay pretty close to, or under, the limit.
-
No, I consider it safer to drive with the flow of the traffic and if the traffic is going the speed limit, that's fine too.
-
Will try to keep it at the posted prescribed limits.
-
I'm impatient, and speed wherever is possible (withing sane limits). But Toronto is filthy packed with cops, so it takes me a huge effort to shamble. Very often is feels like "Somebody hold the steering wheel, I'm gonna take a run around my car a couple of times to shake the stress off".
-
Extra 5 for me, I have a lead foot Ive been told..I think it's the only place in my life that I can control. lol as long as the cops don't catch me!!!
-
I usually drive slightly over in 70 zones, but under in 30 areas Interestingly I had a dream last night that I'd got six points on my license and lost it for speeding down near Manchester (I've never drove near Manchester on my life but people in my dream persuaded me I had)
-
Where I live there's a lot of wide open road with hardly a vehicle on it, so I frequently give it an extra 10 or 20+, sometimes even more. In the words of Sammy Hagar, I can't drive 55. ;O)
-
Yes, when I deem it safe to do so, I exceed speed limits regulary. By the same logic, I do not attempt to drive at 60mph doen a country lane when there is two feet of snow on the ground just because the limit allows.
-
Only during the day
-
Sometimes. Thereare times when you have little choice.
-
Your kidding, right? Around here that's just a suggestion.
-
I've gotten to the point that when I see a cop, I panic and look at the speedometer only to realize that I am doing the exact speed limit. Guess I'm getting old.
-
Sometimes I do when I am in presuit of the men and women who are speeding like they had to be somewhere yesterday!
-
sometimes but not that often and no more than 5 or 10 miles
-
Not always. Usually only 5 mph over or so. But a time or two I have looked down and realized I am going 80mph and FREAK! Slow 'er down!!! LOL +5 But know what? I have NEVER EVER had a speeding ticket. Not even a warning or an accident. So I am a good safe driver. I am 42 so that is good. HU?
-
I'm sorry, but I cant drive 55!
-
Almost always, unless i'm on post because they will pull you over for driving 1 over the speed limit (and my husband is a MP(cop) so that would look bad lol)
-
Yes, especially to make up lost time after getting stuck behind a slow poke
-
Where I used to live 90 in a 55 was a daily occurrence. If I tried that where I live now I would get arrested the first time. I can get away with 5 over, sometimes.
-
Usually not.
-
i would love to speed but there are so many tourist(snow birds, yankees) around i'm lucky to reach 45mph in a 70 mph.
-
Nope ... I can't afford the higher insurance premiums!
-
I pull out of the driveway with the best intentions but it never lasts.
-
Only in a stolen car...
-
Sure, most of the time. The speed limits are set for the lowest common denomator and to allow the police to raise as much money as they can. It also gives them something to do and keeps them out of the donut shops. I have become adapt at listening to my radar detector. Haven't had a speeding ticket since 1982. It was my fault then. I had turned the detector off.
-
I drive below it...........I have a 50 minute drive so when I'm on the interstate I get in the right lane and set the cruise for 60mph.....When gas was over 4 dollars I did 55mph.......I also pop in a CD.
-
I stay close to the limit until about 50, then I push the extra 5.
-
Faster, Faster, Faster Please!! I'm a speed demon and I know it. I actually try to control it b/c...well I would be in jail if I didn't. When I moved to Atl I almost freaked b/c of the Interstates!! Where I lived we just had highways with speed limits mostly of 55....I actually won't buy myself a sports car b/c...well, the speed thing has to be controlled!!!
