Shure will If you really put your mind and efforts to it then you can I smoked 2 1/2 a day for many many years and I put them down 3 years ago and havent picked them up again. ( I gave birth to my daughter a little more tehn 3 years ago, she was my GREAT reason for stopping, you can do it just have faith in yourself.and you can do anyting

It takes most smokers at least 2-3 tries at quitting before they quit for good. Don't beat yourself up about it if you backslide; just keep trying and please get your doctor to help - they really do have good ways to quit. Not every method works for everybody. Some can quit cold turkey, but most cannot. Both my husband and my father took at least 3 tries before it finally worked for them. Even if you don't make it all the way through, every smoke-free day is a step in the right direction.

I had this 'mantra' that I would say to myself when I wanted a cig because of a stressful situation. "Putting rolled up leaves in my mouth and lighting them on fire isn't going to really make [various stressful situation] go away." Realizing and REALLY comprehending this phrase, combined with a program of nicotine gum, helped me to quit for good. I haven't had a cig since...2004? (Geeze I've forgotten what year it was when I quit..haha)
