For Apartment dwellers: Do you know the emergency routes out of your building or hi-rise in case of fire? How realistic are they in terms of the tennants in your complex(elderly, small children, handicaps, etc.)?

I'm in California...we don't have much along the lines of hi-rise apartment buildings here. A 3-story apartment building is pretty big, so I think most people would be able to get out of my building just fine.

Yes, I do know the routes. They are very realistic we have specialized units for the handicapped they are marked as such and also units are marked where there are elderly tennants, small children, and those with animals.

I don't know. I'm lookin at these fire escapes and I'm thinkin that most of these old bitties in this building are gonna fry if that's their only hope. They ain't even gonna make it out the window to the fire escape.
