I've also been thinking about that. Maybe we can do this: for example, if ten users have flagged a question or answer in a span of five minutes, that question or answer would automatically be removed by the system. Of course, it would still be reviewed by the staff. I just don't know how the staff would make that possible.

I dunno, I think the current system is working pretty good. But that doesn't sound like a bad idea.

I know this has come up before when people post suicide questions, but what can anyone expect AB (or any other site for that matter) to do about it? How would one decide whether the question or answer was serious or one posted by a troll? In theory it's an interesting idea, but I don't think it's feasible.

The flag would become abused I would think. Many do not follow the rules as it is or simply do not read them and often they get booted off the site. As good as that suggestion sounds we all must understand that this being a web site, a certain amount of bad postings are going to get through. I do feel that once a question or answer gets flagged it should turn into a red text so it could be picked up quicker by the CL's or Staff (maybe for the offensive/spam flag anyway).
