  • Are you Mechanically knolageable? Perhaps having your family mechanic get it started would be the best, but if your Knolageble then take these steps; Disable the Coil so it does'nt start and Check the Air filter, Change the Engine Oil and Filter. Make sure there is gas in the tank and Coolent in the Cooling System. Connect a NEW Battery (keep the wrench handy!) and turn on the key and check the lights on the dash. Do one final Inspection in the engine compartement and have a buddy stand in front to watch in case something happens and you need to Abort Crank the Engine withe the Starter for Several times of 20 Seconds or so Pausing for a Minute to let the Starter rest. Around the third or fouth time the OIL LIGHT should go OUT, then STOP! Wait several minutes to cool the starter. Then Crank the Engine one more time (OIL Light NOT Lighted!). Now the Engine is Full of OIL and has Lubercation (Called Priming). Connect the coil wires and Start, some sputter and some smoke but DON'T REV-UP THE ENGINE!!! RESIST THE TEMPATION!! Allow the idle for 2- 5 minutes and shut off- check for leakes. go under and be detailed with a light or just tow it to your mechanic for a check-up. Get other fluids changed and get the Cooling System Flushed and a NEW Thermostat installed as it and the fluids deterriorate when they sit. Good luck!
